Aboriginal Family Partnership Specialist

The Family Partnership Worker is an integral position in the Congress Australian Nurse Family Partnership Program visiting team.
As a key member of the team, you will provide education, promotional activities and cultural guidance to support clients in achieving their goals.
Your role will involve working closely with specially trained professionals, including Nurse Home Visitors, Social Workers, and Nurse Supervisor, to deliver a relationship-based and strengths-focused program.
The ANFPP team visits women and their families to support a healthy pregnancy and confident parenting.
You will have the opportunity to develop warm, consistent and caring therapeutic relationships with women, ensuring that home visits are culturally sensitive.
Key Responsibilities- Support the visiting team by providing education and cultural guidance to clients
- Assist in promoting the program and its services to the community
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve program outcomes
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Identification as an Aboriginal person, recognised and accepted by the Aboriginal community
- Excellent communication skills, including fluency in one or more local Aboriginal languages
- Qualifications in a relevant field or willingness to obtain; minimum 1 year experience in maternal and child health, early childhood, family and community services, counselling, or similar fields
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationship networks with the community
- Current Driver's Licence
