Aboriginal Family Partnership Specialist

The Central Australian Aboriginal Congress is seeking an experienced Family Partnership Worker to join our Australian Nurse Family Partnership Program (ANFPP) visiting team.
This is an integral position that provides education, promotional activities, and cultural guidance to support clients in achieving their goals and ensuring home visits are culturally sensitive.
The ANFPP team consists of specially trained Nurse Home Visitors, Family Partnership Workers, Social Workers, and a Nurse Supervisor. We visit women and their families to support a healthy pregnancy and confident parenting.
The program is relationship-based and strengths-focused, offering an opportunity to develop warm, consistent, and caring therapeutic relationships with women.
Key Responsibilities- Support the visiting team by providing education, promotional activities, and cultural guidance.
- Ensure home visits are culturally sensitive and support clients in achieving their goals.
- Develop warm, consistent, and caring therapeutic relationships with women and their families.
- Collaborate with the ANFPP team to provide comprehensive support to women and their families.
- Identify as an Aboriginal person, recognised and accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community.
- Excellent communication skills, including fluency in one or more local Aboriginal languages, and the ability to communicate sensitively in a cross-cultural environment.
- Qualifications in a relevant field or the willingness to obtain; or a minimum of 1 year experience in a relevant field (e.g. maternal and child health, early childhood, family and community services, counselling) of working with Aboriginal women, children, and families.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build relationship networks and establish trust with the community.
- Current Driver's Licence.
