About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Classroom Teacher to join our team at Dromana College. As a Classroom Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the subject of Chemistry, and contributing to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality teaching programs in Chemistry, aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and the school's curriculum framework.
  • Assess and provide feedback to students on their learning, and use data to inform teaching practice.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, and contribute to the school's community.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and stay up-to-date with curriculum developments.
  • Contribute to the school's curriculum development and implementation, and participate in school-wide initiatives and projects.
Selection Criteria

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Strong knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and the subject of Chemistry.
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional learning and development, with a desire to stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practice in teaching.
