Job Opportunity: Classroom Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Classroom Teacher to join our team at Broadmeadows Special Developmental School. As a Classroom Teacher, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality education to our students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging and inclusive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching practices and provide feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional learning and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching students with diverse needs and abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
