Explosives Management Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced explosives management specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the loading, tying and firing of blasts, following drill and blast designs, and ensuring quality assurance.

  • Manage the loading, tying and firing of blasts in accordance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Collaborate with technical services to develop and implement effective drill and blast designs.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with equipment prestart and on-bench auditing procedures.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of products, loading and blast patterns to ensure optimal results.
  • Operate ancillary equipment and manage safe driving practices to minimize risk.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, handling explosives, blast site preparation, measuring holes, setting up perimeter fencing, and stemming of holes. They will also liaise with technical services/supervisor/superintendent regarding planned shots.
