Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical support for mobile units and explosive delivery equipment
  2. Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and basic repairs in the field
  3. Assist with calibration, system checks, and operational readiness of mobile units
  4. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in remote environments
  5. Complete and submit accurate service reports, maintenance records, and compliance documentation
  6. Support the commissioning and decommissioning of field equipment as needed
  7. Collaborate with teams and site supervisors to ensure equipment availability and optimal performance
  8. Promote and adhere to a zero-harm safety culture and compliance standards
Requirements
  • Trade qualification in mechanical or automotive engineering
  • Experience in mobile equipment servicing or field-based technical support
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability in hydraulic and mechanical systems
  • Current manual driver's licence (HR licence desirable)
  • Familiarity with explosive delivery systems (MPUs) is advantageous
  • Sound understanding of safety and environmental protocols in mining or industrial sites
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or in small teams
  • A current explosives security clearance or the ability to obtain
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management systems and other relevant software
