About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide vital support for people with a disability to live independently and maintain their best possible social wellbeing. You will empower our customers to achieve their personal goals and to live satisfying lives in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting our customers to achieve their goals
  • Assisting our customers with daily personal care tasks such as showering, grooming, dressing, etc.
  • Assisting with daily living activities including cleaning tasks to maintain living spaces, meal preparation, assisting with navigating electronics, etc.
  • Encouraging and assisting customers in the community including attending social activities, doctor's appointments, etc.
  • Providing emotional support and building friendships

As a compassionate and dedicated individual, you will be looking to make a positive impact in the community. With exceptional customer service skills, you will ensure that our customers achieve their goals and aspirations.

Requirements

  • Ability to build rapport with a diverse range of customers
  • Experience working with customers with complex support needs (e.g., rheumatoid arthritis, mental health concerns, etc.)
  • Driven, compassionate, reliable & committed
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingsness to learn
  • Flexibility with shift times

What You Need

  • Current driver's licence and vehicle
  • Working With Children Check or ability to obtain
  • NDIS Worker Screen or ability to obtain
  • NDIS Module 1 or willingness to obtain
  • National Police Check or ability to obtain

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Fixed shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Morning shift
  • Public holidays
  • Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

  • First Aid Certification
  • Working with Children Check
  • National Police Certificate
  • Driver Licence and Vehicle

Work Authorisation:

  • Australia
