Job Title: General Foreman

Employ Me is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Foreman to oversee day-to-day construction operations on-site. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Supervision: Oversee daily site activities to ensure project goals are achieved, monitor progress, and provide direction to tradespeople and laborers.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all work meets specifications, conduct regular inspections, and address deficiencies.
  • Health and Safety: Implement and enforce site safety protocols, conduct safety meetings, and identify potential hazards.
  • Coordination and Planning: Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow, schedule resources efficiently, and ensure site operations are carried out as per construction plans.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage the on-site team, provide on-the-job training, and resolve conflicts.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to the project manager on progress, challenges, and necessary adjustments.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Relevant trade qualifications, Construction Induction (White Card), and First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in reading blueprints, and a valid Australian drivers license.
Work Environment:
  • Physical Requirements: The role involves working in outdoor environments, which may include exposure to varying weather conditions and physically demanding tasks.
  • Travel: May be required to travel to different job sites across regions.
