About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Construction Supervisor to join our expanding team at Delivering 4 Customers (D4C). As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for delivering excellence in numerous programs of works across the Southern Region of Sydney.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the work and performance of multiple teams and subcontractors to achieve project outcomes.
  • Lead the construction delivery of reservoir upgrades within the Network across the Southern Region.
  • Supervise and manage the work of subcontractors and in-house workforce.
  • Provide leadership responsibility in health, safety, and environment management.
  • Complete progress reporting and activities reports for shift handovers and regular reporting to the Construction Lead.
  • Ensure compliance with commercial and financial costs, including budgets and the implications of directions within your authority limits.
  • Read and understand plans, review design documentation, and provide constructive review and implementation of final designs.
  • Identify and mitigate risks prior to works commencing, communicate with and engage relevant stakeholders to control risk and contribute to building a risk management culture.
  • Select, train, and develop workers and ensure the observance of safety, other work standards, and fair and reasonable application of industrial agreements.
  • Plan and procure appropriate resources to fulfill project requirements.
  • Manage access and movement of materials, plant, and equipment to and within the site and work area in a safe and cost-efficient manner.
  • Provide positive leadership to ensure the quality and standard of workmanship performed is in accordance with specifications and drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Hold and Witness Points.
  • Maintain diary records of actual progress, including issues and usage.
  • Maintain effective consultation with various stakeholders, referring major issues to the Construction Lead.
Requirements
  • Trade Qualification or similar.
  • Substantial industry experience.
  • Technical competency and understanding in the area of expertise.
  • People and Performance Management of subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labor.
  • Demonstrated leadership in health, safety, and environmental management.
  • Current Driver's License.
  • White Card.
