Civil Construction Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Construction Supervisor to join our expanding team at Delivering 4 Customers (D4C). As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for delivering excellence in numerous programs of works across the Southern Region of Sydney.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the work and performance of multiple teams and subcontractors to achieve project outcomes.
- Lead the construction delivery of reservoir upgrades within the Network across the Southern Region.
- Supervise and manage the work of subcontractors and in-house workforce.
- Provide leadership responsibility in health, safety, and environment management.
- Complete progress reporting and activities reports for shift handovers and regular reporting to the Construction Lead.
- Ensure compliance with commercial and financial costs, including budgets and the implications of directions within your authority limits.
- Read and understand plans, review design documentation, and provide constructive review and implementation of final designs.
- Identify and mitigate risks prior to works commencing, communicate with and engage relevant stakeholders to control risk and contribute to building a risk management culture.
- Select, train, and develop workers and ensure the observance of safety, other work standards, and fair and reasonable application of industrial agreements.
- Plan and procure appropriate resources to fulfill project requirements.
- Manage access and movement of materials, plant, and equipment to and within the site and work area in a safe and cost-efficient manner.
- Provide positive leadership to ensure the quality and standard of workmanship performed is in accordance with specifications and drawings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Hold and Witness Points.
- Maintain diary records of actual progress, including issues and usage.
- Maintain effective consultation with various stakeholders, referring major issues to the Construction Lead.
- Trade Qualification or similar.
- Substantial industry experience.
- Technical competency and understanding in the area of expertise.
- People and Performance Management of subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labor.
- Demonstrated leadership in health, safety, and environmental management.
- Current Driver's License.
- White Card.
