Medical Receptionist/Ophthalmic Assistant Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk, scheduling consultations and surgical appointments, and processing patient billing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet and greet patients on the phone and at the front desk
  • Manage incoming calls and schedule consultations
  • Process patient billing, including Medicare, DVA, and Private Health fund
  • Perform general administration duties, including typing medical letters and reports
  • Assist with basic ophthalmic duties and display excellent communication skills

Requirements include medium to high-level computer skills and previous experience in a medical practice or office administration role.
