The opportunity…
Our Ophthalmic Diagnostic Product Specialist works closely with our Ophthalmic Surgical team to sell world-class ophthalmic diagnostic equipment into ophthalmology and optometry practices, hospitals, and day surgeries. The product portfolio includes brands such as Haag-Streit, Topcon, Reliance, Sonomed, Meridian—well-known and sought-after brands and technologies in the ophthalmic health sector.
- Achieve sales targets and deliver KPIs
- Develop and grow the territory through engagement with existing and new customers
- Manage key accounts and targeted customers
- Understand customer objectives, buying criteria, and decision-making processes to form long-standing, mutually beneficial partnerships
- Attend to customer inquiries and needs
- Develop sales strategies and tactics with the Sales Manager, aligned with marketing plans
- Submit monthly sales reports, including sales forecasts and market intelligence
- Maintain accurate customer account records and data
- Provide product information, demonstrations, and training to customers
- Comply with stock keeping requirements
- Complete administrative tasks on time
- Attend exhibitions, conferences, and seminars as directed
- Perform additional sales-related activities as required

Experience required:
- Proven skills in sales, territory management, presenting, influencing, and time management
- Competence in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours with occasional overnight travel
- Permanent Australian residency
