Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Buys and Loans Operator - Cashier to join our Merrylands location in a casual capacity. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for accurately performing day-to-day transactions in our Buys and Loans department.

About the Role
  • This role involves working in a fast-paced retail environment, ensuring KPI targets are achieved by actively seeking pricing feedback and trends.
  • You will build lasting relationships with our customers by actively listening to and understanding their needs.
  • Effectively communicate pricing, valuation, and pawnbroking options to our loyal customers.
  • Perform all transactions in line with company and legislative requirements.
About You
  • Proven customer service experience, ideally within a retail environment.
  • Interest in Technology, Gaming, Collectables, Jewellery, or Tools and Hardware.
  • Confidently able to negotiate with customers for a win-win outcome.
  • Previous experience in a Second-Hand Buyer role is highly regarded but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills that build rapport, trust, and demonstrate compassion.
  • Ability to discuss and clearly explain contract details with customers.

The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $70,000 per annum, based on location and industry standards.
