Cash Converters is a leading second-hand retailer in Australia, offering affordable personal finance solutions and a wide range of products. We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Assistant - Cash and Loans Operator to join our team at our Merrylands store.

About the Role

  • This is a Retail based role within our Buys and Loans Department, where you will be responsible for accurately performing day-to-day transactions and ensuring KPI targets are achieved.
  • As a Retail Assistant, you will build lasting relationships with our customers by actively listening to and understanding their needs, and effectively communicate pricing, valuation, and pawnbroking options.
  • You will also be responsible for performing all transactions in line with company and legislative requirements.

About You

  • You will have proven customer service experience, ideally within a retail environment, and a strong interest in Technology, Gaming, Collectables, Jewellery or Tools and Hardware.
  • You will be confident in negotiating with customers for a win/win outcome and have strong communication skills that build rapport, trust, and demonstrate compassion.
  • Previous experience in a Second Hand Buyer role is highly regarded, but not essential.
