About the Position

The Department of Education is committed to providing Queenslanders with access to quality education and training.

As a key member of our student services team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies to support inclusive schooling practices for students with diverse learning needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development: Develop, monitor, and promote capacity building systems and programs to support inclusive schooling practices for students with diverse learning needs.
  • Operational Advice: Provide strategic and operational advice to senior leaders to develop partnerships with school communities and government agencies.
  • Research and Development: Lead research and development of regional standards, procedures, and curriculum implementation for students with diverse learning needs.
  • High-Level Advice: Contribute to planning and goal setting for the Region, providing high-level advice on complex issues and priorities.

Requirements:

  • A current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Education Experience: Experience in education or a related field is highly regarded.
