Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced talent developer to join our team. Central Station Records is Australia's longest running independent dance music label, with a rich history dating back to 1976.

Our mission is to identify and nurture emerging electronic/dance music artists through strategic partnerships and collaborations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scout and develop new artists and producers for commercial releases, collaborating closely with in-house teams to ensure success.
  • Represent the label as the primary point of contact for industry partners and other businesses, fostering strong relationships through effective communication and negotiation.
  • Work collaboratively with staff on release planning, creation, and implementation, leveraging expertise to drive results.
  • Coordinate audio recordings by artists, including hiring producers, selecting songs, and scheduling studio sessions, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content.
  • Develop expertise in record production, songwriting, mixing, video direction, photography, and related fields, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Evaluate brand strategies to ensure alignment with artist and label objectives, both locally and internationally.
  • Collaborate with marketing, promotions, and design teams to create promotional materials and digital content, amplifying the artist's presence in the market.
  • Manage invoices, coordinate mixing and mastering, and plan release schedules, ensuring efficient project management.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders within the wider music industry, including radio, DSPs, agents, media, and venues, driving opportunities and growth.
  • Analyze market trends, charts, and cultural shifts to inform A&R decisions, staying ahead of the curve in the dynamic music landscape.
