Job Title: Mental Health Nurse

As a mental health nurse, you will have the opportunity to deliver high-quality care and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced registered nurses looking to specialize in mental health nursing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive clinical care to individuals experiencing acute mental health issues.
  • BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS with clients and families through empathetic and effective communication.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant clinical documentation to ensure seamless continuity of care.
  • Promote positive health outcomes and continuous improvement through proactive identification and implementation of best practices.
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated experience working with individuals presenting with acute mental health challenges.
  • Advanced reasoning skills, with proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team under minimal direct supervision.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to exercise independent professional judgment when resolving complex problems.
  • Working knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act 2007.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with consumers and carers regarding mental health care.
  • Understanding of recovery philosophy and trauma-informed care principles, with ability to apply these in clinical practice.
  • Current NSW driver's license.
