Product Manager - Digital Transformation

Lead high-impact modernisation programs, drive end-to-end delivery of critical upgrades and platform enhancements.

About the Role

We seek experienced Product Owners to lead separate streams of a large-scale digital transformation program, driving complex technical initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional Agile teams.

The successful candidates will have a strong background in managing dependencies, risks, and technical challenges, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

The roles will require hands-on product ownership across multiple streams, including cloud native systems, containerisation, version and database upgrades and deployments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the product backlog for the modernisation program.
  • Manage dependencies, risks, and technical challenges proactively.
  • Advocate for modern engineering practices and performance optimisation.
  • Monitor KPIs and success metrics post-deployment to ensure business value is achieved.
Stream One – Fines Management Squad

In this stream, the successful candidate will partner with technical leads to design and execute upgrades and deployments, including:

  • Migrate existing batches to cloud native systems.
  • Implement scalable application hosting using AWS containerisation.
  • Upgrade Oracle databases to Amazon RDS.
  • Migrate Oracle database to AWS RDS with minimal downtime and data integrity assurance.
  • Ensure effective monitoring and protection by expanding use of CloudWatch.
Stream Two – Overdue Fines Squad

In this stream, the successful candidate will partner with technical leads to design and execute upgrades and deployments, including:

  • Implement scalable application hosting using AWS containerisation.
  • Upgrade PHP from 7.3 to 8.5, ensuring compatibility and performance improvements.
  • Upgrade PostgreSQL databases with minimal downtime and data integrity assurance.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Product Owner in large-scale digital transformation or modernisation programs.
  • Proven track record delivering complex upgrades and platform migrations.
  • Strong technical understanding of relevant technologies and activities.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile delivery tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in cloud security best practices and DevOps pipelines.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD automation tools.
