About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Researcher to join our team at Dovetail. As a Senior Researcher, you will play a critical role in driving customer insights and guiding user-informed product development across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct end-to-end research projects, from recruitment to delivery of insights, to inform product development and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate closely with designers and engineers to contribute to product improvements and ensure user-centered design.
  • Support designers in delivering evaluative research, enabling them to execute research projects from research ops to execution.
  • Communicate customer needs, motivations, and pain-points to the entire organization, facilitating a customer-centric approach.
  • Work closely with our senior researcher to determine effective strategies for conducting research in a dynamic start-up environment.

Requirements

  • Strong background in research foundations, with experience working as a professional qualitative researcher using sophisticated cloud software.
  • Pragmatic and adaptable research approach, with the ability to redefine research projects to align with evolving timelines and priorities.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey insights and recommendations to the team.
  • Curiosity about our business and customers, with a willingness to learn new skills and adopt innovative research methods.
  • Highly collaborative, with experience working closely with researchers and adjacent roles to plan, prioritize, and deliver projects.
  • A great attitude towards a sense of urgency, risk, and uncertainty, with a passion for working in an early-stage startup environment.
