Job Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and experienced video journalist to join our team as a New Zealand Correspondent.

The successful candidate will have the ability to report on news stories and events impacting New Zealand and the Pacific region, working independently in foreign countries. They must be able to operate (or learn to operate) a video journalist kit, broadcast live, perform on camera, and respond to breaking news.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce high-quality, original news packages and content relevant to New Zealand and the surrounding Pacific region
  • Pitch and execute innovative ideas for news coverage
  • Travel across the region to report on significant news stories
  • Write engaging articles for skynews.com.au
  • Liaise with editorial staff to discuss coverage and ensure seamless communication
  • Manage the administration of the New Zealand bureau, including maintenance of studio equipment
