Key Role in EHS and Rail Safety Management

As a highly skilled EHS & Rail Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of occupational health and safety across rail projects. This critical role plays a vital part in maintaining a safe working environment, adhering to regulatory requirements, and upholding our company's commitment to sustainability.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate them.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of site activities, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement an effective EHS training program to enhance employee knowledge and skills.
  • Ensure the Safety Management System is well-maintained and meets required standards, facilitating seamless audits and accreditation processes.
  • Review and test emergency plans to guarantee their effectiveness, while delivering Safety induction training to all relevant personnel.
  • Prioritize accident prevention and investigate incidents, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess a Certificate IV or Diploma in Health and Safety, combined with experience in rail or heavy industry projects. Sound knowledge of local legal requirements is essential, as well as initiative, drive, and resilience to tackle complex challenges.
