Employee Relations and Policy Manager Role

This is a key role in shaping the future of our organization, where you will play a vital part in employee relations and policy management.

About the Job

As an Employee Relations and Policy Manager, your primary responsibility will be to provide specialist advice on complex employee relations matters and manage high-risk cases. You will work closely with Senior Legal Counsel to interpret awards, agreements, and legislation, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Additionally, you will represent us in external settings such as the Fair Work Commission and Industrial Tribunals.

Your duties will also include developing policies, procedures, and templates for employee relations matters, as well as building, maintaining, and monitoring governance frameworks for P&C policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management and/or Industrial Relations
  • Demonstrated experience in an ER/IR role in a large and complex organization
  • Ability to identify key issues, present options, and assess associated risks and mitigation
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Personal leadership skills with excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication ability
