Job Description

We are seeking Occupational Therapists to join our casual pool at Northern Beaches Hospital. As a Level 1-2 casual, you will provide evidence-based clinical care to public and private patients. You will work in partnership with Medical Officers, Nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide assessment and treatment in a coordinated and timely manner.

Responsibilities
  • Provide an excellent standard of clinical care to patients
  • Work in partnership with the healthcare team to provide assessment and treatment
  • Provide Occupational therapy intervention to a wide variety of patients
  • Liaise and coordinate with referrers, staff, relatives, and outside agencies
  • Communicate the interpretation of assessments and implications for patient management
  • Participate in quality improvement projects and in-service programs
Selection Criteria
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Excellent clinical practice skills in assessment, intervention, and discharge planning
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisation, time management, and self-management skills
  • Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork
  • Proven excellence in customer service delivery
  • Commitment to ongoing education and evidence-based practice
