Job Title: Department Head">

Seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to fill the role of Department Head. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team and make a positive impact in animal care and conservation.

  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in animal husbandry practices.">
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for animals and staff.">
  • Collaborate with the Curator and Keeper Management Team to ensure effective communication and cooperation.">

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in meeting operational requirements of the department.">
  • Completing food preparation for assigned animals and ensuring dietary requirements are met.">
  • Directing staff to complete daily husbandry tasks and maintaining animal habitats.">
  • Liaising with the Curator and Keeper Management Team regarding instructions and concerns.">
  • Ensuring highest quality animal welfare through enrichment, diets, conditioning, and environment.">
  • Assisting with performance management, feedback discussions, and department-specific training.">
  • Delivering daily public demonstrations and keeper talks when applicable.">
  • Demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills.">
  • Ensuring appropriate record-keeping expectations are met.">
