Leadership Role

The Fresh Manager plays a key role in the leadership of their department, fostering a connected, flexible and high-performing team committed to serving customers and communities. They are responsible for leading day-to-day functions of the department and working closely with the store leadership team to ensure a great shopping experience and a great place to work for the team.

Main Responsibilities

  • To lead end-to-end operations of the department
  • To lead day-to-day functions of the department
  • To support the development of team members through the Store Leadership Pathway
  • To collaborate with store leadership and team members to deliver consistent quality, hygiene and product availability across all hours
  • To engage and role model ways to delight customers through Everyday ACTs - Acknowledge, Care & Thank
  • To make safety a top priority by ensuring correct processes are followed in store

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Able to engage and role model ways to delight customers
  • A strong desire to lead department operations and provide leadership support to your team daily
  • Able to work well with others through collaboration to achieve great outcomes and grow knowledge
  • Awareness of your own leadership style and a desire to grow into a future leader
  • An appreciation of the value of working across stores to enable a positive overall shopping experience for customers
  • A curious mindset to develop skills and capabilities to support progression in your career
