Job Opportunity

Join a leading construction business in seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to support our subsidiaries for a 12 month fixed term contract.


Key Responsibilities
  • Tendering and negotiation expert, delivering high-quality work aligned with business objectives.
  • Maintaining technical standards, meeting deadlines, building relationships with stakeholders.
  • Facilitating accessible communication through appropriate methods and clear wording.
  • Providing precise legal advice, identifying areas of uncertainty and ensuring understanding.
  • Excellence and pragmatism balance in tendering, managing deviations from benchmarks.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal approval processes and minimizing risk exposure.
  • Advising on delivery phase matters, collaborating with internal stakeholders to prevent disputes.

Requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise as a qualified lawyer with over 8 years of experience.
  • Current practising certificate in Australia.
  • Proven experience in in-house construction, head contractor negotiations essential.
  • Strong background in construction law, contracts and resolution of delivery phase issues.
  • Ability to provide pragmatic advice in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Collaborative mindset influencing at all levels.
