Job Summary
The Regional Duty Manager is a critical role within the Rural Fire Service, responsible for overseeing regional operations and logistics. This position requires a strong leader who can coordinate appliance mobilization, mutual aid protocols, and human resource deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate regional operations, including appliance mobilization and mutual aid protocols.
- Oversee the management of day-to-day staffing and on-call arrangements.
- Assist the Executive Manager Regional Operations in contributing to regional operations management plans.
- Manage the collation of inputs into the Firecom response matrix.
- Conduct operational debriefs with stakeholders and activate post-incident support processes.
Requirements
- Must meet the mandatory requirements and attributes as outlined in the generic Rural Fire Service Inspector role description.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Working Conditions
This is a day work position that may require flexible hours of work to meet functional demands, including working at night on weekends as part of the role.
Personal Qualities
The successful candidate will have a proven commitment to maintaining bushfire competencies and operating in a regional team environment.
