As a dedicated School Psychologist, you will be part of a community where your work truly matters. You will be involved in supporting Catholic school principals, teachers, and support staff to design and implement Educational Adjustment Plans and targeted interventions that meet the behavioural, social-emotional, and learning needs of students requiring individualised programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct psychometric assessments and prepare clinical reports to guide tailored support for students and schools.
- Champion inclusive and equitable practices in line with Australian Government policies.
- Lead professional learning initiatives, empowering school staff to differentiate teaching and learning to meet every student's unique needs.
- Provide psycho-educational guidance and support to families and school communities, addressing behavioural, social, and emotional learning needs.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders to apply psychological knowledge and improve student wellbeing, learning, and behaviour outcomes.
- Advise schools on recommendations for Educational Adjustment Plans to maximise student success.
You will work closely with school staff, parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders to improve student wellbeing, learning, and behaviour outcomes. A strong understanding of current Australian Government policies and an awareness of the social, economic, and cultural diversity within the Northern Territory are essential.
About YouWe are looking for a School Psychologist who:
- Holds appropriate tertiary qualifications and is eligible to register as a Psychologist in Australia.
- Has knowledge of current Australian Government policies and an understanding of supporting students with additional needs.
- Demonstrates awareness of the social, economic, and cultural diversity within the Northern Territory.
- Has experience administering, scoring, and interpreting appropriate screeners and diagnostic assessments to guide student support.
- Is able to travel extensively across the Northern Territory and has a valid Northern Territory Driver's Licence.
