Psychological Support Professional
About the Role:This position involves providing psychological support to students in schools across the Northern Territory.
- The successful candidate will work with school staff, parents and caregivers to address behavioural, social and emotional learning needs of students.
- They will also lead professional learning initiatives and provide guidance on inclusive and equitable practices in line with Australian Government policies.
- A key responsibility will be conducting assessments and preparing reports to guide tailored support for students and schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psycho-educational guidance and support to families and school communities.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, caregivers and other stakeholders to improve student wellbeing, learning and behaviour outcomes.
- Advise schools on recommendations for Educational Adjustment Plans to maximise student success.
To be considered for this role, applicants must hold appropriate tertiary qualifications and be eligible to register as a Psychologist in Australia.
- Knowledge of current Australian Government policies is essential.
- Applicants should have an understanding of supporting students with additional needs.
