Urban Planning Opportunities

Brisbane City Council is seeking talented urban planners to join our team. As a Principal, Senior or Urban Planner, you will play a key role in shaping the city's future by developing strategic land use planning initiatives, preparing precinct plans and planning policies, and consulting with stakeholders and communities.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Urban planning qualifications and experience relevant to the role level (Band 5 to Band 7)
  • Experience in strategic planning, policy writing, or statutory drafting (Senior/Principal roles)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Knowledge of Queensland's planning framework (Planning Act 2016, Brisbane City Plan 2014)
