Operational Officer Role

We are seeking a skilled Operational Officer to join our team and support local communities. As an Operational Officer, you will play a key role in managing bush fires and protecting the community from emergencies.

The Rural Fire Service is responsible for leading bush fire management and mitigation efforts in NSW. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional service to the community, and we are looking for someone who shares our values and commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate emergency response efforts during bush fires and other emergencies
  • Work closely with local communities to understand their needs and provide tailored support
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate bush fire risk and promote community safety
  • Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure effective emergency response and recovery efforts
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Certificate III in a relevant discipline or equivalent expertise
  • A current Driver Licence and willingness and ability to travel
  • RFS Advanced Firefighter (AF) qualification or equivalent
