Job Description

The Principal Consultant (Injury Management) plays a pivotal role in the organization's Health, Safety and Wellbeing team. This key position works closely with the Manager (Injury Management), and collaborates with other business areas to develop a capable and resilient workforce.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop, manage, and deliver health, safety, and injury management systems, services, and programs that align with corporate objectives.
  2. Oversee the provision of locally-based health, safety, and injury management systems and services, providing expert advice to managers as needed.
  3. Provide strategic direction and support to Injury Management officers across the state, ensuring compliance with industry standards and contemporary practice.
  4. Review and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to promote a sustainable safety culture within the organization.
  5. Partner with other areas of the business and engage with the workforce to design and facilitate responses that promote safer and healthier workplaces.
  6. Support other organizational initiatives by ensuring work health, safety, and injury management systems are aligned.
  7. Co-design and co-deliver integrated employee programs and services where possible.
  8. Build strategic partnerships across all levels of management and with employees to maintain a 'safer and healthier workplaces' culture.
  9. Collaborate with central agencies, regulatory authorities, and external stakeholders to build evidence on employee health and safety in correctional settings.
Requirements

Familiarity with health, safety, and injury management systems and services is essential for this role. Strong communication and project management skills are also required.
