Registered Psychiatric Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at the Secure Extended Care Unit in Ballarat. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence-based care to consumers and their carers, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality nursing care to consumers in a 24/7 supported environment
- Work collaboratively with the NUM and multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Support the ongoing development of the unit as a whole, contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Participate in education and training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
- Current registration as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Experience working in a bed-based mental health setting
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Knowledge of less restrictive and recovery-oriented care principles, including the MHWA 2022
- Postgraduate qualification in mental health nursing desirable
