In this role, you will leverage your expertise in conducting thorough analyses of network traffic and performing static evaluations of potential threats. Your technical knowledge will be vital in supporting the operational integrity of a specialized networking environment.
The Network Administrator position offers the chance to work with a significant Australian IT Managed Services Provider, contributing essential network expertise to critical projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades for corporate networks and internal servers.
- Install and integrate new server hardware and applications.
- Monitor and implement necessary updates.
- Administer and support third-party applications.
- Ensure robust network security and connectivity.
- Oversee network performance metrics including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency, while identifying vulnerabilities.
- Establish user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
- Address issues reported by end users.
- Define and enforce network policies and procedures.
- Determine system requirements and design appropriate solutions.
- Conduct research and provide recommendations on server system administration.
Candidate Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in a network administrator capacity.
- Exceptional communication skills are essential.
- Possession of CCNA, CCNP, or other relevant network certifications is required.
- Hands-on experience with networking, routing, and switching.
- Strong understanding of best practices for managing, controlling, and monitoring server infrastructure.
- Experience with firewalls, Internet VPNs, remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is preferred.
- Ability to set up and configure server hardware effectively.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
