About the Role

We are seeking a Geologist to work in an open pit environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience as a geologist within an open pit gold mining operation and be able to mentor junior mine geologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate grade control practices to optimise ore recovery
  • Work closely with the Senior geologist to develop geological models
  • Manage QAQC sampling and mapping practices, reporting, mine reconciliation, and mining methods, systems and processes
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Geology or equivalent
  • Strong experience with geological software used in mining, including Leapfrog, Surpac, Datamine, and Acquire
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with grade control, Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC) sampling and mapping practices, reporting, mine reconciliation, and mining methods, systems and processes
