Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Operations Specialist to join our team in the mining industry. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical support for on-site equipment and explosive delivery systems.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical support for mobile units and explosive delivery equipment
  • Performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and basic repairs in the field
  • Assisting with calibration, system checks, and operational readiness of mobile units
  • Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in remote environments
  • Completing and submitting service reports, maintenance records, and compliance documentation
  • Supporting the commissioning and decommissioning of field equipment as needed
  • Collaborating with blasting teams and site supervisors to ensure equipment availability

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A trade qualification in mechanical, automotive, or diesel fitting
  • Experience in mobile equipment servicing or field-based technical support
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability in hydraulic and mechanical systems
  • A current manual driver's licence (HR licence desirable)
  • Familiarity with explosive delivery systems is an advantage
  • A sound understanding of safety and environmental protocols in mining or industrial sites
