As a Controls Officer, reporting to the Controls Manager, you will play a crucial role in the administration and management of the controls library. You will be responsible for assessing and testing controls through a risk-based methodology.
This position offers a remarkable opportunity to significantly impact the overall stability and success of the organization by ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement processes to enhance controls for effective risk and compliance management.
- Oversee the efficacy of remediation and control enhancement initiatives resulting from audits, external reviews, and regulatory findings.
- Assist business leaders in identifying, evaluating, and managing risks in accordance with the risk management framework, policies, internal control measures, and standard operating procedures.
- Document and report the results of control testing.
- Conduct regular risk and control self-assessments, documenting and reporting remedial actions in collaboration with business leaders.
Qualifications:
- A degree in a legal, commercial, or business discipline is highly desirable.
- Experience in developing, enhancing, testing, and managing control processes, including control design and implementation.
- Previous experience as a Risk Operations Controls Officer or Compliance Officer within a large, complex, and highly regulated environment.
- Understanding of business drivers for effective problem-solving.
- Ability to analyze data and provide comprehensive audit reports and insights on business operations.
