As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing and performing financial tasks for a business, including performance and operational controlling in SE Australia Grid Technologies Service Business.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Act as a financial business partner to the Technical Lead of Sub-Region Pacific 1 responsible for Australia and New Zealand.
  • Lead and coordinate the management of budgeting/forecasting, complete BTA critical metrics and actual reporting, including deviations, corrective measures/actions, gather and analyze cost reports, allocations, and ensuring accuracy of books.
  • Drive process optimization and digitalization/automation in your area of responsibility and foster continuous improvements to increase cost transparency and accuracy.
  • Support in the preparation of legal and commercial conditions of offers and contracts with clients, attend contract negotiations, maintaining relationships with the Sales Team in the region and global functions.
  • Proactive quality management in reporting and ensure strict compliance with corporate guidelines and standards.
  • Lead project financials based on contractual developments and site operations.
  • Together with the Project Manager, ensure the accuracy of the cost and price calculation.
  • Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy and local accounting guidelines.
  • Responsible for monthly revenue recognition and contractual invoicing.
  • Together with the Project Manager, prepare monthly status meetings and present project financials to management.
  • Prepare the monthly financial forecasts and annual project financial plans.
  • Identify, assess, respond, monitor, report, and raise all commercial risks & opportunities.
  • Prepare case and calculations for proposals and change orders.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Degree in Business/Finance/Accounting.
  • More than 10 years of working experience.
  • Team-orientation and ability to work with cross-functional, cross-regional teams.
  • Highly motivated and proactive, with excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with high interpersonal skills (teammate, negotiation skills, leadership skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and presentation).
  • Eye for business, sound decision-making, analytical, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional English required, where additional Asian languages will be a benefit.
  • Positive attitude to work in a challenging environment and in embracing a high-performance culture.
  • Solid knowledge on international trade, accounting & finance, contract law.
