Head of Workplace Relations

Virgin Australia is seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Workplace Relations function. As Head of Workplace Relations, you will provide strategic advice on employment and workplace relations matters, represent the company in employment and industrial tribunals, and manage employment and industrial litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in the planning, negotiation, and implementation of Enterprise Agreements.
- Develop and provide strategic advice on workplace relations matters.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Virgin Australia workplace relations strategy.
- Manage litigation effectively and represent the company in employment and industrial tribunals.
- Potentially lead team members and act as a coach and mentor to other colleagues.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years' leadership experience in contemporary workplace relations.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law, or equivalent business qualification.
- Extensive experience leading Enterprise Agreement negotiations in a geographically dispersed and unionized environment.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian employment environment and ability to interpret and apply legislation.
