Your Opportunity – Executive / Assistant Manager 

This role is ideal for individuals with diverse experiences from external audit, CFO advisory, accounting advisory, corporate advisory, professional services firms, or accounting/commercial teams within operational businesses.

We are open to talent from the above sectors, and those from Transaction Services teams, who are interested in the world of Transaction Services to apply. Our Transaction Services team is growing nationally, and in this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting clients through and executing complex transactions and influencing critical business decisions while working with a diverse team. You will support our team and clients to identify value creation opportunities, and provide actionable insights on optimising value during transactions as well as:

  • Financial Analysis & Due Diligence: Prepare detailed financial analysis and support the due diligence process, collaborating with buy-side and sell-side advisers. Support with the delivery of enhanced diligence ("Diligence+"), providing clients with a holistic assessment of an asset, quantifying potential value opportunities.

  • Transaction Execution & Strategy: Work across the deal lifecycle, from pre-announcement to implementation. Help to define deal strategy, identify synergies, and support carve-out processes. Understand the transaction rationale and its impact on reporting while working proactively to meet milestones.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Ability to clearly communicate findings to senior team members in a structured and thoughtful way ensuring insights are tailored to clients' industry and strategic objectives, and deliver integrated services that comprehensively address client needs.

  • Marketing & Business Development: Support business development efforts and develop proposals, pitches, and thought leadership content to enhance the firm's market position and generate new business.

Our team collaborates closely with colleagues across Deal Advisory & Infrastructure as well as other Advisory teams, Tax and Audit; it is a multi-disciplinary and international environment that sits right at the heart of our One KPMG ethos.

Our team delivers at various stages of the transaction lifecycle including:

  • Pre-deal evaluations and initial assessment of potential targets.

  • Financial due diligence to uncover key issues of potential targets.

  • Vendor assistance and vendor due diligence offerings for sell-side clients.

  • Capital market and regulatory reporting.

  • Pre-deal carve-outs of businesses for spin-off or sale; and

  • Assisting clients in understanding the true strategic and operational capability of acquisitions and divestments via our integrated risk and value creation diligence.

  • Professional experience in Transaction Services, Audit, or CFO Advisory with expertise in financial analysis, opportunity and risk assessment, and client relationship management.

  • You embrace how diligence findings impact the deal rationale and valuation considerations.

  • Strong analytical skills and a commercial flair to generate insights from interpreting data & financial models as well as data analytics.

  • Critical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to apply financial insights to solve complex client challenges and navigate the Transaction and M&A environment.

  • An ability to communicate with senior team members in relation to potential issues with data or issues identified as part of analysis undertaken.

  • Use advanced analysis tools like Strategic Profitability Insights (SPI).

  • A continuous improvement approach to internal processes and methodologies, driving innovation in service delivery and helping clients solve challenges more effectively.
