Investment Banking Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our General Industries team as an Analyst in the Investment Banking coverage group. This role will be a key contributor to various work streams within the group's transaction execution, marketing, and client coverage initiatives.

The successful candidate will participate in the full cycle of transactional execution, including preparing marketing pitches, reviewing and formulating financial analysis, and presenting internal and client presentations. They will also contribute to implementing the execution function by working with and supporting associates and more senior bankers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing marketing pitches, financial analysis, and presenting internal and client presentations.
  • Contributing to implementing the execution function by working with associates and senior bankers.
  • Developing analytical, modelling, research, and writing and presentation skills.
  • Gaining knowledge about global and Australian sectors and collaborating closely with colleagues across JP Morgan's platform.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills include:

  • 1-2 years of prior work experience in investment banking or finance-related sectors.
  • A well-rounded academic background from a top-tier educational institution.
  • Strong financial modelling skills.
  • Knowledge of M&A and capital markets transaction cycles and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with senior professionals, clients, and stakeholders.
