Overview

Based at our welcoming Bendigo Campus, we have an opportunity for a Campus Student Support Assistant to join our team. This is a full time, permanent position to start at the beginning of Term 1 2026. This role will support a Year 3 student joining the campus in 2026 with additional learning needs.

A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required for this role.

Responsibilities

- Supporting the student’s communication by implementing strategies under the guidance of allied health professionals and classroom/learning support teachers.
- Using alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) methods (e.g., visuals, devices, or gestures) to facilitate participation.
- Demonstrating patience, flexibility, and strong observation skills to adapt instructions and learning activities.
- Liaising efficiently with classroom teachers, allied health professionals, and campus learning support teachers to ensure consistent support.
- Maintaining accurate learning and communication support records, including progress notes on strategies used.
- Collaborating effectively with the classroom teacher, other staff and the Care Team.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will ideally hold a Certificate IV in Education Support (with previous experience desirable), or Certificate III in Education Support with recent relevant experience. You will be skilled in working one-to-one with a student with communication and learning needs to enable full participation in classroom and education activities.

Note: A current WWCC is required for this role.

Campus Location

The OneSchool Global Bendigo Campus is conveniently located off the Calder Highway in Kangaroo Flat, Bendigo. The campus serves students from Bendigo, Kyneton, and Castlemaine, with modern facilities and technology-enabled learning environments. The campus has 52 students across years 3 to 12 and offers a small school atmosphere and personalised learning.
