Gold Fields has an opportunity available for a Mechanical Fitter to join the Mill Maintenance team at Granny Smith.

Reporting to the Coordinator: Mechanical (Fixed), you will be responsible for providing quality and timely preventative mechanical maintenance and repairs of the processing department and other areas of the operation as required.

This is offered on 8 days on 6 days off roster and is FIFO from Perth.

Duties of the role

- Ensuring the achievement of budgeted maintenance targets by practising preventative maintenance
- Maintaining a working knowledge of all task instructions and procedures
- Completing all administrative processing requirements associated with maintenance duties, such as requisitioning of parts and materials, processing of maintenance orders and recording of labour time.
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping throughout the maintenance workshops and wherever maintenance work is carried out.
- Being available from time to time to be on the plant as an operator/maintainer within the plant

About You

You will have:

- Previous experience in fixed plant maintenance within a Processing Plant operation
- Mechanical Trade Qualifications
- A sound understanding of machinery and care of fixed plant equipment.
- A Valid C Class vehicle license as well as CN crane, dogging, Rigger basic EWP and Forklift tickets
- A Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets
