Initiates, designs, implements, and monitorsstrategies to reduce the incidence of hospital-acquitted infectionsin our patients. Plays a leading role in preparing for and managingoutbreaks. Works with other staff to ensure our hospitals meet therequirements of the National Safety and Quality Health ServicesStandards. As part of aninterdisciplinary team, leads the provision of specialist medicalservices to patients. Actively addresses clinical risks anddelays in patient care for individual patients. Educates andsupervises junior medical staff and other healthworkers.
