Job Description:
AI Talent is on the lookout for a Business Analyst to join our team. As a Business Analyst, you will work with users to formulate system requirements, develop system plans and documentation, review and evaluate existing systems, and design and modify systems to meet users’ business needs.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the users and business units to identify business/operational pain points, elicit and analyse requirements, investigate and analyse business/operating procedures and work with the team to provide solutions
• Formulate and document the business requirements based on the analysis of current business processes and procedures
• Act as a central reference between the business and technology units to facilitate business-IT alignment and aid in the data-driven decision-making process
• Collaborate with the stakeholders (developer/ product manager/ etc.) to identify and recommend software solutions
• Develop detailed functional requirement specifications document using epics and user stories
• Work together with the UI designers to create and review the UI designs in-line with the system specifications
• Communicate the software requirements to the development & QA team during requirement walkthrough and planning sessions
• Create clear system specifications though use of use case diagrams, data/process modelling, flowcharts or other UMLs for the development of the system
• Perform user acceptance testing to ensure software developed is in-line with the requirements, of acceptable quality and plan deployment cycles
• Perform market research and analysis of other systems to facilitate third-party integrations
• Identify gaps and inefficiencies to and suggest improvements in process or functional specifications of the system
• Work with a team in a Agile environment to implement best practices and timely deliverables to ensure the project is being delivered on time and within the specified budget
• Create and maintain the necessary training/onboarding documentation and conduct training sessions for new team members/customers

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems specialised in Business Analytics
• Minimum 2 years of full-time experience working as a Business Analyst
• Experienced writing detailed, clear and consistent functional requirement specifications using epcis and user stories
• Demonstrate ability to prioritize business requirements
• Hands on experience creating systems specifications using UMLs
• Experienced working with REST APIs
• Strong understanding of databases and ability to write SQL queries
• Knowledge of backend and frontend technologies
• Knowledge and understanding of responsive designs and systems
• Strong understanding of client-server architecture
• Experienced working in Agile – Scrum development methodology
• Hands-on experience of using JIRA, Confluence and Azure DevOps
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and work in a dynamic team environment
• Superior communication skills (verbal and non-verbal)
• Expertise in using MS Visio to create Business Process Modelling
