About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager (AO6/1 level) to join a government department in Cairns. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and deliver building projects that make a real impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage building projects including design, documentation, and contract administration.

- Coordinate project teams, consultants, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

- Provide expert contract coordination across traditional and non-traditional systems.

- Interface with clients and ensure effective stakeholder engagement.

- Monitor project performance, generate reports, and conduct audits.

- Support fee determination and billing approvals in collaboration with senior leadership.

Skills & Experience

- Proven client-side project management experience within building construction or infrastructure.

- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

- Proficiency in MS Project and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Exceptional coordination and leadership capabilities.

Highly Regarded

- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, Town Planning, or Quantity Surveying.
