The Chef will also be responsible for menu development, inventory management, and leading kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences. A relevant culinary qualification and proven experience in a similar role is required, along with strong leadership and organizational skills.

Task & Responsibilities

- Plan, design, and oversee preparation of high-quality dishes
- Create seasonal menus aligned with the business focus
- Estimate food and labour costs to maximize efficiency
- Order and manage stock while minimizing waste
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring consistent performance
- Maintain strict hygiene, health, and safety standards
- Ensure quality and presentation of all meals
- Adapt menus to meet dietary needs and customer preferences
- Collaborate with management to deliver a seamless dining experience
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and extra hours if needed (paid)
- Oversee end to end daily operations, ensuring seamless coordination between kitchen, front of house, suppliers and management

Qualification & Experience

- Minimum of Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in related field as a head chef or equivalent role
- In-depth knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen operations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Proficiency in multiple cuisines- from modern Australian to global fusion
- Experience in managing end-to-end kitchen operations with no assistance
- Must have full working rights and be able to start as soon as possible
- Experience in planning and executing occasional functions and events for up to 80 guests
