Overview

Are you passionate about leading change that truly makes a difference?

We’re hiring a Change and Communication Manager to lead strategic change across our Health Insurance (HI) Customer Channels and Growth (CCG) and Operations and Enablement (HIOE) teams. Working closely with Business Integration Leads and Specialists, you’ll ensure seamless execution and alignment across projects. You’ll foster collaboration, build change capability among leaders, and help embed a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement. Your strategic influence will support our people and customers through every step of change, making transformation feel clear, supported, and meaningful.

We’re hiring for a fixed-term maternity leave backfill role (until February 2027) that can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Tasmania.

This is a hybrid position, giving you the flexibility to work from home or from our centrally located CBD offices in your chosen city.

- Collaborate as part of the Program Optimisation, Business Integration & Change team and with relevant stakeholders to conceive and lead the creation of change solutions that are innovative, fit for purpose, and build the capability and engagement required for our people to achieve required outcomes.

- Lead the design, build, delivery and evaluation of change programs and initiatives, aligned to business objectives (such as change leadership, integrated view of change, learning and training, communication, engagement, change networks, etc.).

- Lead the design, build and review of communications strategy for CCG and HIOE.

- Lead the creation of high impact content including written materials, presentations, videos and events.

- Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to understand and meet business requirements.

- Measure and report on performance against milestones, and effectively manage risks and monitor issues.

- Identify and manage change and communication risks and issues.

- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing strategic guidance on communications.

- Manage communication channels and ensure alignment with brand and regulatory standards.

- Drive employee engagement through clear, consistent messaging and storytelling.

Qualifications &Requirements

- Extensive experience leading change programs, with a focus on managing people impacts, through a tiered change and engagement model.

- Proven ability to design and deliver project change and engagement strategies using approaches such as Human-Centred Design, Lean, Agile, and Waterfall.

- Confidence in influencing and negotiating with stakeholders at all levels, with a track record of building strong relationships and driving alignment.

- Familiarity with Bupa Health Insurance products and processes is an advantage, but not essential; transferable skills and fresh perspectives are valued.

What’s in it for you?

As well as a competitive salary, a range of Bupa benefits and flexible working/work from home, you’ll be challenged and encouraged to innovate. You will collaborate strongly with colleagues who are committed to delivering exceptional experiences. We trust, respect and consider everyone, knowing your difference will make the difference.

Other benefits include discounts on health insurance, as well as access to our new global wellbeing program, Viva. Viva has been designed to help you to live a healthy and happy life. It encompasses a comprehensive health and wellbeing program which includes access to health insurance benefits that will assist with covering the cost of medical treatment, information and education sessions, and preventative healthcare screening such as annual health assessments and skin checks.
