About the role

An exciting opportunity is available to join a dedicated team that specialises in recruiting eligible breastfeeding mothers to donate their surplus breastmilk, helping to nourish premature babies across Australia.

The Milk Donor Coordinator is responsible for cultivating strong relationships with breastmilk donors to ensure the timely, efficient, and cost-effective collection of breastmilk to meet patient needs. This Registered Nurse (RN) role provides clinical leadership and expertise regarding milk donation, ensuring donors receive appropriate care while maintaining the highest standards of product safety.

You will be a Registered Nurse with a thorough understanding of supporting breastfeeding women. A current driver’s licence is essential, as the role involves visiting breastmilk donors in their homes or in hospital settings.

Here’s what we are looking for

- Registered Nurse with currentAHPRA registrationandAnnual License Certificate(with no restrictions)

- Demonstratedlactation expertise

- Phlebotomy skills– experience with blood collection

- Current, unrestricted driver’s licence

- Ability to conductclinical assessmentsand apply clinical knowledge in practice

- Proven ability to provideexceptional service

- Strong ability to workindependentlyand within amultidisciplinary team

- Understanding ofbreastmilk supply and demandissues

- Knowledge or experience working withneonatal populations

- Experience in aGMP(Good Manufacturing Practice) orfood regulatoryenvironment

- Flexibility to provide support to theMilk Collection Managerrole when required

This is a permanent part-time opportunity working Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and based at our Melbourne Processing Centre.
