About the Role

We're partnering with a national telecommunications and IT solutions provider that delivers connectivity, voice, managed IT, and security services to businesses across Australia.

This is a hands‑on Presales Solutions Engineer position, supporting the sales and account‑management teams to design, present, and deliver tailored solutions across:

- Internet & Data Connectivity

- SD-WAN and Networking

- PBX / VoIP / Unified Communications

- Managed IT & Security Services

You'll work directly with customers, vendors, and internal engineers to scope technical requirements, prepare proposals, and ensure every solution is technically sound and commercially viable.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with BDMs and Account Managers to uncover opportunities and design customer‑focused solutions.

- Undertake technical discovery and feasibility assessments for connectivity, networking, and security projects.

- Collaborate with vendors and internal engineering teams to finalise solution designs and costings.

- Lead presales activities, proposals, presentations, and RFP responses translating technical value into business outcomes.

- Support the sales pipeline and contribute to monthly revenue targets by driving technical excellence and client trust.

About You

You bring a mix of technical credibility and proven presales experience, comfortable translating complex solutions into clear business benefits.

You will have:

- Solid background in telecommunications or IT infrastructure (B2B environment).

- Experience with networking and security technologies such as SD-WAN, PBX, VoIP, Cisco, Fortinet, and Sophos.

- Strong understanding of data and connectivity solutions for SMB and mid‑market customers.

- Confidence in solution discovery, design, and proposal development with direct client engagement.

- Vendor certifications (Cisco, Fortinet, Sophos, Telstra Wholesale etc.) highly regarded.
