About The Company:
iSelect and Compare the Market are trusted, well-known brands dedicated to helping millions of Australians compare and buy personal finance and household products, such as insurance, energy, and loans. We’re a values-led business that thrives on collaboration and innovation, all while keeping our customers at the heart of everything we do.
About the role
We’re looking for someone who thrives at the intersection of finance and technology. Sitting within our centralised Financial Control function, this role is key to keeping our Finance IT ecosystem running smoothly — from our Accounting ERP and supporting systems through to a bespoke revenue reconciliation platform.
But this isn’t just a maintenance role. You’ll be front and centre of one of our most exciting projects: the migration of our ERP to the TechnologyOne platform. Working closely with the Project team, you’ll help design smarter processes, lead a seamless transition, and unlock opportunities to optimise how finance supports the business.
This is a chance to step into a role where your impact will be felt organisation-wide — shaping the future of our finance systems while building your own expertise on a high-profile transformation.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the ongoing management and optimisation of the ERP system (including workflows, processes, and upgrades) to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Play a pivotal role in the migration to TechnologyOne, from designing the project plan and documenting requirements through to testing, change management, and training.
- Design and implement strong internal system controls to safeguard financial data and maintain quality assurance.
- Partner with IT, Finance, and business stakeholders to align system capabilities with business requirements and deliver smarter processes.
- Enable data and reporting excellence, working with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, TM1) and supporting data warehouse integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve finance-related system issues, providing technical expertise and timely solutions.
- Train, support, and empower finance team members, ensuring they get the most out of financial systems and tools.
What You’ll Bring
- Drive ERP transformation with hands-on experience in TechnologyOne migration or integration projects, from requirements gathering through to testing, change management, and training.
- Translate business needs into system solutions, building clear cases for change and focusing on measurable outcomes.
- Implement strong system controls and continuously improve processes to enhance accuracy, reliability, and compliance.
- Collaborate across teams, quickly building rapport with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders while fostering a “one team” approach.
- Enable better decision-making by supporting data and reporting solutions, including BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and TM1.
- Guide teams through change, communicating with clarity, transparency, and impact.
- Balance commercial and technical considerations, ensuring improvements deliver value for both the business and its customers.
Our Benefits
At Compare the Market, we offer a dynamic and collaborative work environment where your talents will be recognised and rewarded. You’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact and contribute to our continued success. As well as ample opportunities for growth and development, we also provide:
- A vibrant and social community with annual celebrations, family fun days, and regular events.
- Flexible work arrangements, including the option of one day working from home each week or a 9-day fortnight.
- Additional leave days – ‘ME’ leave and ‘Volunteer Day’ leave.
- Study support (up to 50% of tuition fees for relevant courses) and professional membership reimbursement.
- Employee discounts on Car, Home, and Travel insurance.
- Income protection insurance for non-work-related illness or injury.
- Discounts with a broad range of providers, including gym memberships, accommodation, dental care, and more.
Compare the Market and iSelect is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we encourage all applicants to apply. We acknowledge that we are strengthened by diversity.
Please note that this role is only available to candidates with unlimited Australian working rights, as sponsorship is not available.
Compare the Market and iSelect is committed to protecting your privacy. All applications and personal information are handled with strict confidentiality and securely stored in compliance with Australian privacy laws.
